    We are new property Management & Letting Company. Looking to obtain information on landlords with empty properties including HMO's in Birmingham, as we are looking to lease/buy properties from sellers in this location. Preferable in Microsoft Excel format.
    We require name/address and contact number.

    Dear Birmingham City Council,

    Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

    I am writing to request an internal review of Birmingham City Council's handling of my FOI request 'List of Empty Properties in Birmingham'.

    My request was rejected because I quote, "As this is for commercial purposes, we will not grant access to the full public register: I accept and acknowledge that the data shall be used only for personal, educational or non-commercial purposes. Use for commercial purposes is not permitted".

    I believe the reason for not granting the request is unfair and contradicts with the Freedom of
    Information Act 2000. Therefore, I request full internal review.

    Request for Internal Appeal - Freedom of Information Act 2000

    Further to your email dated 7 June 2017 regarding your request under the
    Freedom of Information Act 2000, and your request for an appeal of the
    decision to withhold part of the information.

    All appeals dealing with decisions to withhold information made under the
    Freedom of Information Act are dealt with through the appeals process
    contained under Section 45 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

    Your appeal will be heard by Officers who had no involvement in the
    decision to withhold the information sought by yourself.

    A panel will be convened and we will contact you once a decision has been
    made.
